Born and raised on a farm in Ohio, Mellie Miller spent her early life among fields of wheat and corn and helping care for horses and cattle. She studied dance for several years, beginning at age 5, began piano at 8 and clarinet at 9. In high school she found she had a flair for drama, studying drama, theater and public/dramatic speaking. She then ventured to southern California for college, studying music (classical voice, clarinet and piano), performance, French language and religion. After college, she married her one and only and together they have lived and traveled all across this country and to a few others as well. She has performed at each and every stop along the way, from coast to coast, whether instrumentally, vocally or theatrically. She has recently come back to acting, one of her earliest passions.
